This semester (Spring 2025) for History class in the upper school the students were tasked with making a historical board game, which was named Pending Independence. This board game focuses on the settlers in America, as they grow their colonies and prepare for the coming revolution.
The board game has many colorful cards, which include historical characters such as Benjamin Franklin, Button Gwinnett and Anne Bradstreet, and events such as the French and Indian wars, the founding of Georgia, and the baptism of coffee. The board game also includes lots of historical events, such as the founding of several colonies, the French and Indian wars and the Pope baptizing coffee. And to showcase all that we have learned, a pamphlet with many historical facts (relating to the cards) was made and is included with the boardgame.
