It was a dark and stormy night at my grandparents house in America. The wind was howling, the rain was barraging the house, and the boughs of the trees were getting whipped about, and yet inside of the house, in the dining room, me, my parents, my sisters, and grandparents were sitting around the large table playing card games. The electricity had gone out, so we put my grandpa’s phone onto the chandelier with its flashlight setting on so that we could see our cards. The next morning, the yard was littered with fallen branches and leaves that had been blown off of the trees. So, for the rest of the day, we worked in the sweltering heat to clear the yard. I even drove a tractor to carry chopped pieces of wood across the yard to the campfire. Eventually, I had to go inside because my dad said that my face was red.
