The summer’s nearly over,
Fall is fast approaching.
School is back again
and on good times is encroaching.
Summer Break is now long gone,
and homework piles galore.
But all the loathsome work aside,
what fun awaits once more?
This year I take Biology,
the study of all that lives!
We will do experiments
that the textbook gives.
Also we might have fun projects
in Bulgarian or History,
and in Geography class
we’ll unravel the world’s mysteries.
I am pretty terrible at art,
but the idea of it is fun.
Except for when it’s in a project
worked on by everyone.
I can say goodbye to sleeping in
till the sun is at its crest.
Instead will come the learning
that the teachers teach the best.
It will have its moments,
both the good and bad.
In the end, however,
the learning makes me glad.
