During the summer, I did lots of stuff;
I went to the beach, I swam in the water,
I read lots of books, I ate lots of food,
I stood in the sun (it kept getting hotter).
I played many games, most of which were hard.
I sat in a car for hours on end.
I did summer homework, which doesn’t seem fair,
And quite soon the school year came round the bend.
