Grendel is a female Greenfinch. She was found injured during a school trip and one student almost stepped on her. She is still little and she’s learning how to eat on her own and how to fly. She is attracted to people’s shoulders. She flies onto them all the time and once she even pooped on my head. She likes to eat smashed egg yolks. I prefer to call her Bret, but people like the name Grendel. I sometimes think she will run away and join a bird gang and poop all over people’s cars and heads. When people feed her she starts to cry and scream. She will be a menace.
