Even though we mostly talk about life in Sofia, there’s so much more to Bulgaria than just the capital! Read Rock’s thoughts on the seaside city of Varna, which he visits every year.

Do you have a favorite place in Bulgaria? Some people have many favorite places in Bulgaria. But for me, there is only one favorite place, the city of Varna.
The first time I went to Bulgaria was in December or January of 2020. We went over there for vacation, and it kinda feels like a tradition now, because every single summer my family will go to Varna for vacation.
I like Varna because of its toasty sandy beach and its cool water. The waves in some beaches are BIG.
Varna is a very beautiful place. It’s a good way to relax from the pollution in the cities. Just take a wonderful break from all the noise, air, and light and enjoy the nice warm sun of Varna.
You can get there with all kinds of transportation. There is a big train station inside the city itself and it leads everywhere in Bulgaria. For aviation enthusiasts (like me) there is an airport where you can spot planes not far from the city. People come from all over the globe to Varna by air to enjoy the big sun and it’s good ol’ beaches.
And that’s why Varna is my favorite place in Bulgaria.
