At self checkout something always seems to go wrong. Something will not scan (but it magically scans when the sales clerk comes to help). Sometimes you press the wrong button, and then you must call on the sales clerk and watch them undo your action as they frown at you.

Sometimes something goes wrong for no reason whatsoever, and you just stand there panicking for a minute. Yet, self checkout it is, because it’s quicker.
