The people in my neighborhood
Walk past rows of fruit trees
To get to the supermarket.
They buy
Apples,
Strawberries,
Watermelon,
Oranges,
Apricots,
Grapefruit,
Bananas.
When they go home,
Their shoes pin ripe plums to the ground.
